Oswald Lite WordPress Theme vs Oswald PRO Version

There are several ways to install WordPress theme, we recommend using FTP but you can choose other ways. Please read more about WordPress theme installation on the official website: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes

Upload via FTP:

Step 1 – Please download the Oswald Lite version here and unzip it;
Step 2 – Upload “oswald” theme folder to the theme directory (wp-content/themes/) of your WordPress via FTP;
Step 3 – Log into your WordPress dashboard and activate “oswald” theme in Appearance -> Themes section;
Step 4 – The theme is ready. Please go to Appearance -> Customize to modify the theme to your needs.

To extend the WordPress theme functionality, you have to use the Oswald Lite Extension. It’s a WordPress plugin.

Once it’s downloaded and installed, please follow the next step in the documentation.

To display the page content on the home page of your website, please do the following.

Open Appearance -> Customize and click Homepage Settings

Please select Custom from Customizer and publish settings. Now your home page is ready.

To modify the page content, simply click those edit icons, the editable content will appear on the left, in the customizer. Please check the screenshot below.

You can easily add the contact form on your website.

To do that, please add and activate the following plugin ->  Contact Form 7  It’s a free WordPress plugin.

Once it’s done, please add a new contact form, here is an example:

 Your Name*
[text* your-name] 


 Your E-mail*
[email* your-email] 



 Your Message
[textarea your-message] 

[submit "Send Message"]

The final step is to copy the contact form shortcode and put it into the customizer. Please check the screenshot below.
